The LAST fall clinic was Sunday, 11/3/13 - we want to thank all who participated, coached, and gave encouragement from the sidelines. This is what makes our organization great - the constant support from ALL involved.
We are looking forward to a great future and please stay tuned for some updates about how our Travel Teams faired at this weekend's Rumble in Richmond!
If ANYONE has any pix to share from the Fall Clinic - please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Now that the Fall Clinic is over - we hope you will consider signing up for the Winter Indoor Box League that begins in December - (12/7/13). Marlin Lacrosse Camps is pairing up with 757 Select (as we did for the clinic). For more information, please go to: http://www.marlinlaxcamps.com
Here is a bit more information on Box Lacrosse:
Each age group has a 90 minute session each Saturday. Players receive instruction, fundamental skill teaching, box lacrosse techniques, & game play!!! Boys receive instruction on stick work fundamentals and will learn box lacrosse techniques. Each player gets plenty of touches on the ball. Players are split into teams & get lots of time to play while receiving instruction during the games. The boys learn lacrosse, have the chance to practice their techniques, & most importantly will have FUN playing box lacrosse!!!
Box Lacrosse is a proven way to improve player skills. Stick skills are the main emphasis at the Box Lacrosse Clinic. Our clinic provides players the chance to get many touches on the ball & to keep a stick in their hands during the winter. This helps develop skills for the spring season. Box lacrosse is played in a smaller space than field lacrosse. Players are forced to handle the ball in tighter spaces, shoot the ball on smaller goals, & find ways to use space to their advantage. This is a method that helps create better lacrosse skills & abilities. We hope you'll join us this winter!
Hope to see you this winter!
